Aeroprakt-36

A-36 – twin-engine two seat airplane, a successor of A-26 airplane design concept. In order to increase the range A-36 was equipped with two four-stroke Rotax-912S engines. А-36 was designed to fly over the terrain where emergency landing due to engine failure is extremely undesirable or impossible (sea, mountains, forest, desert, etc.). 

The airplane has mixed structure (all-metal wing, tail unit, rear fuselage, and fiberglass forward fuselage, main landing gear spring, engine cowlings and various fairings). A-36 has all-flying horizontal tail (‘stabilator’), electrically driven trim tabs on horizontal tail and rudder, flight control system with side sticks in the cockpit. A-36 is capable of taking-off and continuing the flight using only one engine.

The airplane has comfortable cockpit for long range flights (side sticks, elbow rests, seats adjustable in flight, efficient ventilation and optional autopilot system). A-36 has also a spacious luggage compartment designed for 100 kg (220 lb) of useful load, which can be used for various kinds of equipments and instruments.
